Over 30 Historic Buildings

Based predominantly across Lancashire but also into Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cumbria, the Trust owns over 30 historic buildings in the north-west of England.

These have been saved from destruction and put to various good uses within their communities for economic and social benefit. Heritage Trust for the North West (HTNW) has also conserved numerous buildings which have then been utilised by local communities.

Today our priority is to breathe new life into heritage properties which were once at risk and to share them with communities. We are proud to work with hundreds of active volunteers in the field of conservation and restoration.

HTNW also operates a number of significant independent properties such as Lytham Hall on the Fylde Coast.

Prospect Tower at Bank Hall

Our most recent restoration project concluded in November 2022 at Bank Hall in Bretherton.

The Grade II* listed property has now come off Historic England’s At Risk Register and has returned it to a residential property with 12 apartments and an exhibition demonstrating the impact local residents can have on saving historic buildings.

Visitors can now visit the iconic Prospect Tower and exhibition telling the story of Bank Hall. Book your place HERE.

If you are interested in working with us, or you have a project that you feel we may be able to support through our expertise and professional network connections please read on or contact is at info@htnw.co.uk
